Drakesboro, KY., Delia Karen Atkinson, 69, of Drakesboro passed away February 7, 2023 at the Heartford House in Owensboro, KY. She was born December 4, 1953 in Jacksonville, FL. She was employed by the Muhlenberg County School District as a Teacher’s Instructional Aide. Dee had a passion for working with children and loved every child she met along the way; her greatest passion being her grandchildren. Dee also loved to read and loved all things regarding nature, especially the beach where she grew up.

Loved ones preceding her in death are her Parents John Stevenson and Margaret Wearren Stevenson, 1 brother David Stevenson.

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband Rex Wilburn Atkinson of Drakesboro, 1 daughter Amanda (Cedric) Browning of Bowling Green, 1 granddaughter Harper Browning and 1 grandson Ryler Browning, 3 brothers Mike Stevenson of New Mexico, Johnny Stevenson and Mark (Margaret) Stevenson both of Indianapolis, IN., 2 sisters Wanda Stevenson of Jacksonville, FL and Cathy Willis of Indianapolis, IN., several nieces, nephews, a host of cousins and friends.

Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday, February 10, 2023 from 12 Noon to 2:00 p.m. at the Bibbs Funeral Home Chapel in Greenville KY.
