GREENVILLE, KY., — George Thomas Phillips, 82, of Greenville passed away Saturday, April 14, 2018 at the Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville.

He was born September 10, 1935 in Greenville to the late Robert Lincoln Phillips and the late Margaret Bard Phillips. Mr. Phillips worked at the Ken Surface Mines in Rockport, KY for Approx. 29 years. He loved spending his past time having conversations at the IGA.

He  leaves behind to cherish his memories, a loving wife Margaret Lester Phillips, Greenville, 3 sons Clifford ( LaGertha) Phillips, Columbus, Ohio, James Phillips and Keith Phillips both of Greenville, 2 daughters Tracey ( Johnny) Owens of Greenville, and Patricia Hawkins of Greenville, 10 grandchildren, 1 brother Robert ( Helen) Phillips, Sr., Greenville, 1 sister Mary Ann ( James)  Bell, Russellville, KY several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

Funeral Services are Wednesday at 1pm April 18, 2018 at The Pentecostal Church of God In Christ, in Greenville.

Visitation 11am – 1pm at the church on Wednesday. Burial in West End Cemetery, Greenville.  Elder Archie Grimmett, Eulogist.
