Drakesboro, KY., —  Mary Perline Mason, 90, of Drakesboro passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at the Heartford House in Owensboro, KY. She was born on March 5, 1927, in Drakesboro, Ky. She was a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Drakesboro where she previously served on the Usher Board and held the honor of being a “Mother of the Church.”

She was preceded in death by her husband Melvin Mason, 2 daughters, Diane Mason Goins, and Wanda Jean Shelton

Survivors include 2 sons, Melvin (Gloria) Mason of Louisville, KY, and Carl Lendell Mason of Drakesboro, KY, 2 daughters Martha Jane Starks of Louisville, KY, and Carol Denise Stoudemire of Drakesboro, KY, 12 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, 2 sisters Mae Helen Chambers of Browder, KY, and Carolyn Louise Reed Drakesboro, KY, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Services are Saturday, 1pm June 24, 2017, at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Drakesboro, KY.

Visitation 11am – 1pm at the church on Saturday. Burial in West End Cemetery, Greenville, KY. Rev. Ricky T. Hill Officiating.
